Science is taught using the inquiry-based approach. We provide rich hands-on experiences both within and outside the classrooms for the development of concepts and scientific skills.

Students are able to make use of their various senses as they engage in learning and play at the same time. This allows our students to have a better understanding of the scientific principles involved and appreciate the impact of scientific and technological advances in their lives.

Lakeside Waste Minimisation Efforts

A big focus in our environment education this year was our waste minimisation efforts. These efforts aimed to reduce the amount of waste generated by students and the public, as well as to instil the love for the environment and a greater sense of responsibility in every student at Lakeside Primary and the community.

Together with our school’s Corporate Sponsor, Chevron Phillips Chemicals Asia Pte Ltd, we reinforced the message of being responsible in minimising waste through the 3Rs – reuse, reduce and recycle – within and outside Lakeside Primary School.
